Health Data (Apple HealthKit Integration)

  • Fitzpatrick skin type (if available in Apple Health)
  • Date of birth (for age-adjusted vitamin D calculations)
  • Vitamin D production history (for personalized tracking)

Why: To provide personalized vitamin D calculations following BioMind’s holistic approach
How it’s used: Read from and written to Apple HealthKit with your explicit permission
Storage: Stored securely in Apple Health on your device only
Data Written: Vitamin D production data from your sun exposure sessions

User Preferences

What we collect:

  • Selected Fitzpatrick skin type (1-6)
  • Preferred clothing level for exposure calculations
  • Daily vitamin D goals

Storage: Stored locally on your device using secure iOS storage (UserDefaults/AsyncStorage)

Permissions

  • Alternative: You can deny and manually enter your city

Apple Health (Optional)

  • Read Access: Skin type, date of birth for personalized calculations
  • Write Access: Save your vitamin D production data from sun exposure

  • Control: Fully optional – app works without Health integration

Push Notifications (Optional)

Your Rights

  • Deny any permission and still use core app features
  • Delete the app to remove all locally stored data
  • Revoke HealthKit access anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health
