Destiny Matrix Books: What to Read and Where to Start
Destiny matrix books reviewed: Ladini's original, the English edition, guides on talents, family and forecasts, where formulas differ and where to start.
Start looking for a destiny matrix book and you quickly run into a shelf of near-identical titles: "Destiny Matrix", "Матрица судьбы", "Complete Guide", "Course Book". Some cover talents, some the family line, one teaches forecasting. A few even calculate the same points in slightly different ways, so two books can give the same person two different numbers.
This review covers the nine books we worked through while building the MDU destiny matrix calculator and its readings: three by Natalia Ladini, who created the method, and six by authors who teach it. For each: what is inside, what it is best for, and where it agrees with the rest. A comparison table and a guide on where to start close the review.
In short
The primary source is Natalia Ladini: "Destiny Matrix" in English (2012) and «Матрица судьбы» in Russian (2019). Her «Семь колен Рода» (2017) is devoted to the family line.
For a beginner the clearest book is Maria Priemykhova's complete guide (AST, 2025): the full calculation, a reading for every point and a cheat sheet.
The year forecast appears in only one book, Yuliana Lisovskaya's «Матрица судьбы: прогноз».
The formulas mostly match, but the books differ on the inner points of the family lines, the number of purposes and the order in which the karmic tail is written.
How the destiny matrix bookshelf came about
The method is Natalia Ladini's. The authors who followed her date it to 2006, and say her students later extended it. Ladini's own books came out between 2012 and 2019, first as author's editions. She calls the method "Diagnosis of Purpose. 22 Matrix Codes of Destiny" and splits the 22 energies into three groups of seven, with the 22nd code standing on its own.
The second wave started in 2022. Within three years four books by practitioners of the method appeared, on talents, money, the family and consulting, along with Lisovskaya's book on forecasting. In 2025 the publisher AST released Priemykhova's guide, the first book on our list from a major publishing house.

Natalia Ladini's books
Destiny Matrix: The 22 Ultimate Life-Changing Codes (2012)
Natalia Ladini. Author's edition, 2012. ISBN 978-5-902525-66-0. 139 pages. Language: English (translation).
This is the only English-language book on our list, and the answer to anyone searching for "the destiny matrix book" in English. Most of it is given over to the 22 codes: the plus and the minus of each code, its unworked karma, recommended activities and a spiritual message. The codes are grouped in sevens: the physical world (1–7), the world of the soul (8–14) and the land of the spirit (15–21), while the 22nd code, Freedom, stands apart. Each code comes with an image for meditation: you look at it for about five minutes, then ask the code's angel a question.
The calculation, with a worked example, is at the back (pp. 125–128), followed by the eight levels of purpose, a health table built on the chakras, a nine-step path for working through the codes and a gratitude practice. One detail matters for English readers: the example date is written US style, month first, so 05/01/1969 means 1 May.
Best for: learning the method from its author, in English.
The primary source in Russian. Its layout is close to the 2012 book: an introduction on spiritual work, the three groups of seven, and for each code its energy, unworked karma, recommended activities and spiritual message, plus the healing image of every code. The chart is built step by step (the example is 01.05.1969), and then come the eight levels of purpose: heavenly, earthly, the whole personal purpose, the father's line, the mother's line, the whole family (social) purpose, the personal divine purpose and the divine mission for people. The book closes with meditations, prayers and mantras for the codes.
Best for: checking what the later authors say against the original. When two other books disagree, this is the one to settle it.
«Семь колен Рода» (Seven Generations of the Family), 2017
A book on family karma. Each of the 22 energies is described as it acts in the father's and the mother's lines: the gift the ancestors pass on and what needs to be worked through. Ladini writes that the theme of the seven generations opened up to her after 2012. In the seventh generation there are 128 ancestors, and across all seven roughly 254–256 souls, which she calls the "bird of the family". The book also gives the ages at which family karma switches on (10 and 50 for the father's line, 30 and 70 for the mother's), the main family wave 2–11–20, the family sign as the sum of a line's energies, and practices: a written "resolution", prayers and meditations.
Here the diagonal square is drawn as a mirror image (the day in the right-hand corner of the earth line, the year in the left); the sums are the same.
Best for: family work, once you know the basic chart. Our guide to the family lines is a good warm-up.
Ladini has also published «Матрица судьбы. Первоисточник» (The Destiny Matrix: The Original Source; Bombora / Eksmo, 2023, ISBN 978-5-04-209095-0). It is not covered in this review.
Books written on Ladini's method
«Диагностика предназначения и коррекция судьбы» (Diagnosing Purpose and Correcting Destiny), 2014
Vladimir Fey. Cheboksary: Novoe Vremya, 2014. ISBN 978-5-4246-0371-6. 124 pages. Language: Russian.
The earliest book by a follower on our list, and the subtitle says outright that it follows Ladini's method. Fey reads the chart through "keys": the triads of the earth and sky lines, four purposes tied to age (the personal one by 40, the social one by 55–65), and the men's and women's lines in the straight square. It is the only book with a compatibility calculation: each partner's personal task in the couple, and the couple's shared task as the sum of the two. There is also a chakra health map and a chapter of common questions.
Best for: relationships and health; a short, clear introduction.
«Матрица судьбы. Дополнительные ключи» (Destiny Matrix: Additional Keys), 2022
Built out of short "keys": the talent zone, parent–child karma, the family lines, 23 karmic tails, the midpoints of the love and money lines, material karma from the past incarnation, and professions. Matriks advises starting any work with the chart from the tail, since its energies sit in the first positions of the relationship and money lines. A separate chapter covers castes, which are calculated by Vedic numerology: the digits of the date of birth are added down to a single digit.
Best for: money, relationships and the karmic tail, once you know the main points.
«Матрица судьбы. Книга-курс» (Destiny Matrix: A Course Book), 2022
The broadest course in a single volume on our list. The chart is labelled with the letters А–И: the "little sun" (the personal square with its centre) and the family square. You get energies by age, down to half-years, the code of inner strength, a health map with chakra colours, 18 programmes, 26 karmic tails and the 22 energies in a child's chart. The last part is about consulting, down to whether you need a certificate. Donbrava is clear that the matrix is not meant to predict specific events: it shows what is laid down in a person, and the energies by age show which periods favour what.
Best for: anyone planning to consult, and anyone reading children's charts.
E. M. Pribylova. "Avtor", 2023, in the series "1000 Insights". 180 pages. Language: Russian.
Pribylova begins with the basics, points A to Д from the day of birth to the comfort zone, then moves to the four purposes and the four triads of the soul's karmic tasks. Most of the book is about talents, which in her account arrive by three routes: through the father (at 10), through the mother (at 30) and from God. Then come money under the dollar sign, professions and the family programmes. She reads every triad through three questions: what is happening, why it is happening, and where it leads.
Best for: talents, career and money.
«Обучение методу «Матрица судьбы». Полное руководство» (Learning the Destiny Matrix Method: A Complete Guide), 2025
Maria Priemykhova. Moscow: AST, 2025, in the series "Path of Harmony". ISBN 978-5-17-168359-7. 352 pages. Language: Russian.
The thickest and best organised of the nine. Part one sets out every rule of construction with diagrams; part two gives readings for each point (day, year, karma, each with all 22 energies); part three has 63 code programmes; part four has 27 karmic tails and the life strategy each implies. A cheat-sheet table closes the book. She counts three purposes: personal, social and spiritual.
Best for: beginners who want one book that runs from the first number to the tail.
The only book on our list about forecasting. Part one deals with periods in the base chart: decades, years, the 1-, 5- and 10-year cycles, the midlife crisis (roughly 37 to 43), and the rule that after 79 the count starts again. Part two builds a separate forecast chart for a year, a month and a day, a general forecast for everyone, forecasts for a country, a city, a street, a house and a contract, and a forecast for love and money. Part three reads the 22 energies in the sense they take on in a forecast. Lisovskaya stresses that this is analysis of cause and effect, not fortune-telling.
A few worked examples contain arithmetic slips (the general energy of the year on p. 61, point Е of the day forecast on p. 78), so it pays to recompute them.
Best for: planning a year, a month or a day.
Where the books agree, and where they differ
The foundation is the same in all nine: 22 energies matching the 22 major arcana; any sum above 22 is reduced by adding its digits; A is the day of birth, B the month, C the digit sum of the year, D the sum of those three, and the centre the sum of all four. Our example date, 23.06.1992, gives A 5, B 6, C 21, D 5 and a centre of 10 in every one of them. The differences start further in.
The inner points of the family lines
Matriks, Donbrava and Pribylova calculate them the same way: corner plus centre, then corner plus the result. Priemykhova adds to the corner not the centre but the family force (the sum of the four family corners). That makes it three to one, with Priemykhova as the exception. The MDU calculator follows the majority (corner plus centre), so if you compare your chart with her book, expect different numbers at these points. More in the family guide.
Three, four or eight purposes
Fey, Matriks and Pribylova describe four purposes: personal, social, spiritual and planetary. Priemykhova gives three and leaves out the planetary one. Lisovskaya's forecast block also has three age stages: up to 40, 40 to 60, and after 60. Ladini herself counts purposes as eight levels, in which the four "usual" purposes are the 3rd, 6th, 7th and 8th. For 23.06.1992 that means a personal purpose of 19, social 11, spiritual 3 and planetary 14; a reader of Priemykhova stops at the spiritual 3.
How the karmic tail is written
The tail is made of the three lowest energies. Matriks and Donbrava write it from the centre downwards: d1, d2, D. Priemykhova writes it in the order it is calculated, D, d1, d2, and stresses that the first energy is the key one. So the same date's tail reads 15-20-5 in one book and 5-15-20 in another. If you cannot find your combination, try the other order, or look it up in our list of karmic tails.
What only one book covers
Year, month and day forecasts, and forecasts for places and contracts: Lisovskaya only.
A couple's shared task from two charts: Fey only.
Castes by Vedic numerology: Matriks only.
A child's chart and energies by age down to half-years: Donbrava.

If the matrix is new to you
Calculate your own chart first, so that while you read you see your own numbers rather than abstract letters. The calculator shows every point, the tail and the purposes, and our guide to reading the matrix explains which point to begin with.
Then take Priemykhova's guide, which explains the construction from the first number, and read Ladini alongside it (the 2019 book or the 2012 English edition) to learn the energies from the original. If you read only English, Ladini's 2012 book is the one open to you.
If money or relationships are your question
For money, the strongest pair is Pribylova's «Скрытые таланты» (the dollar sign, professions, talents) and Matriks's «Дополнительные ключи» (the money line, material karma). For relationships, Matriks describes the three arcana of the relationship channel, and Fey is the only one who calculates a couple's shared task.
If you want to work with your family line
Begin with the family square as Priemykhova or Donbrava explain it, then move on to Ladini's «Семь колен Рода», which extends the theme to seven generations and to the ages at which the father's and mother's karma switch on.
If you want a forecast
Here there is no choice to make: it is Lisovskaya. You need to read the base chart's main points first. By her rule, for example, the "date" of 2026 is 14.22.2026 (365 days reduced to 14; the month is the digit sum of the year plus 12), and the personal year chart for someone born on 23.06.1992 opens with A 10, B 10, C 13, D 6 and a centre of 12. Our year forecast does the same.

Build the chart from one book and stick with it while you calculate.
Note which order your tail is written in and how the family points were calculated.
Compare readings point by point: the same energy reads differently at the day point than in the tail.
