Destiny Matrix year forecast: the calculation, the points and the three periods

A Destiny Matrix year forecast is built from your date of birth and a special "date" of the year itself: the two are added point by point into nine energies that describe the main events, the strengths, the difficulties and the money side of the year. Below is the whole method: how to get the year's date, how to work out a forecast by hand with an example, what each point means, how to read the three four-month periods and what the general forecast for 2026 shows.

Calculate your year forecast

Enter your date of birth and pick a year: the calculator builds the matrix of that year with its main events, its plus and minus, and three four-month periods.

Date of birth

No birth time or place needed. The date is not stored.

Key facts
  • A year has no date of birth, so you make one: the day is the number of days in the year (365 gives 14, a leap year's 366 gives 15), the month is the digit sum of the year plus 12, and the year stays as it is.
  • A personal forecast adds the year's date to your date of birth part by part: day to day, month to month, year to year; the rule of 12 months does not apply here.
  • Points B and inspiration (A + B) are read only in their plus, points C and D only in their minus; the centre and the trigger point (B + C) colour the whole chart, so they are read together with the rest.
  • A personal year splits into three periods: January–April, May–August and September–December; the third gathers the results of what was done in the first two.
  • The general forecast for 2026, for everyone: 14 · 22 · 10, with 11 (Strength) in the centre, 9 (The Hermit) in the inspiration point and 5 (The Hierophant) in the trigger point.

What a Destiny Matrix year forecast is

A forecast matrix is a separate chart built for a chosen span of time: a year, a month or a day. It can be personal, made from someone's date of birth, or general, for everyone. Unlike the base chart, it does not look at life periods along the age scale. Instead, the date of birth and the period's date form a structure of points, each answering its own question about that time.

This forecast has nothing to do with fortune-telling. It does not name events that are bound to happen; it helps you see where to put your attention and how to plan your time. The future keeps changing, so the meanings should not be taken rigidly, let alone turned into a cult: a tool for knowing yourself should help, not run your life. And the main rule: a forecast takes away neither responsibility nor action. An event is the result of something done, and nothing will happen on its own while you wait.

  • Which areas of life need your attention in this period.
  • How to plan the year, month or day.
  • Which unpleasant events or situations are possible.
  • What is worth doing now and what is better avoided.
  • Which tasks you will have to solve and what can be put off.
  • An answer to your own question: work, money, relationships, a move.

How the year's "date" is built

To add a year to a date of birth, the year needs a date of its own in three parts. The year stays itself, for example 2026. The month is found by adding up the digits of the year and adding 12, because a year has twelve months. For 2026 that is 2 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 10, and 10 + 12 = 22. In the base chart the month point can never hold a number above 12; this is called the rule of 12 months. In a forecast it does not apply, so the month here can be 19 or 22.

The day is the number of days in all twelve months of the year, reduced to one arcana. An ordinary year has 365 days, and 3 + 6 + 5 = 14. In a leap year February gets a 29th, giving 366 days and a day of 15. Leap years come every four years: 2024, 2028, 2032 and so on, so check the calendar before you calculate. As everywhere in the matrix, a number above 22 is reduced by adding its digits.

So 2023 has the date 14.19.2023, 2024 has 15.20.2024, 2025 has 14.21.2025 and 2026 has 14.22.2026. For a personal forecast this date is added to the date of birth; a general chart is built from it alone.

How to calculate a year forecast by hand

Take the date of birth 28.07.1991 and a forecast for 2023, whose date is 14.19.2023. The two dates are added part by part, then the remaining points are found as in the base chart: each new point is the sum of points already known.

  • Result for 28.07.1991 in 2023: A 6, B 8, C 9, D 5, centre 10, inspiration 14, trigger 17, C + D 14, D + A 11.
  • Periods of the year: January–April 10, May–August 20, September–December 3.
  • The same person in 2026: A 6, B 11, C 12, D 11, centre 4, inspiration 17, trigger 5, C + D 5, D + A 17, periods 4, 8 and 12.
  1. Point A: day plus day, 14 + 28 = 42, 4 + 2 = 6.
  2. Point B: month plus month, 19 + 7 = 26, 2 + 6 = 8.
  3. Point C: year plus year, 1991 + 2023 = 4014, 4 + 0 + 1 + 4 = 9.
  4. Point D: A + B + C, 6 + 8 + 9 = 23, 2 + 3 = 5. It sits where the karmic tail begins in an ordinary chart.
  5. Centre: A + B + C + D, 6 + 8 + 9 + 5 = 28, 2 + 8 = 10.
  6. Inspiration point: the nearest known points A and B, 6 + 8 = 14.
  7. Trigger point: B and C, 8 + 9 = 17.
  8. C + D point: 9 + 5 = 14.
  9. D + A point: 5 + 6 = 11.

What each point of the forecast means

In a forecast the points are read differently from the base chart. There, each energy shows both its plus and its minus in one place; here the plus and the minus are split between points. Point B and the inspiration point speak only of an energy's positive side, points C and D only of its negative side. Look at these four first: they show at once where the year supports you and where it is hard. Points C and D can be read together.

The centre and the trigger point affect the whole chart, so they are read together with the others. The trigger point is described both as the negative side of the year and as our weak spots in front of other people: it is less about good or bad than about where we are easiest to hurt.

  • A, outer expression: how to deal with the world and with people, what others expect from you and what you can give them, and also what to watch out for yourself and which mistakes you might make towards others.
  • B, the positive side of the year: what to pay attention to, how and through what to show yourself, which ideas come first.
  • C, the material side: money and prospects, what unpleasant things may happen there and how to respond.
  • D, the negative side of the year: the tasks and trials to get through, your own wrong moves, what to think over and what to change.
  • Centre: the main events and the overall background of the year, what to expect in the plus and in the minus, what to look at first.
  • Inspiration point (A + B): what to lean on, where to show yourself and get things done; the positive side of the year.
  • Trigger point (B + C): the negative side, events that may upset you, things better postponed, areas and news that can spoil your mood.
  • C + D and D + A points: what the year is good for and what to be careful of.

Calculate your year forecast

Enter your date of birth and pick a year: the calculator builds the matrix of that year with its main events, its plus and minus, and three four-month periods.

Date of birth

No birth time or place needed. The date is not stored.

The three four-month periods of the year

A personal year forecast also has a block of periods, but it is read by months, not by age: the year splits into three periods of four months. They run from January to April, from May to August and from September to December. The sky, earth, male and female lines familiar from the purpose block stand here for the spiritual and the material side.

The first and second periods describe the events and steps you will need to take and the tasks you will have to solve. Together they set the outcome of the third period: from September to December you see the results of what was done earlier in the year. Besides results, the third period also shows events and tasks of its own.

In the example of 28.07.1991 in 2023: first period 8 + 5 = 13 and 6 + 9 = 15, 13 + 15 = 28, which gives 10; second 14 + 14 = 28 and 17 + 11 = 28, both 10, together 20; third 10 + 20 = 30, which gives 3. The general forecast, built without a date of birth, has no periods.

  1. January–April: add B and D, then A and C, and add the two sums.
  2. May–August: add the inspiration point and the C + D point, then the trigger point and the D + A point, and add the two sums.
  3. September–December: add the energies of the first and second periods.

The general forecast for 2026

A general forecast is not tied to any person and is built from the year alone. The chart is the same, and the points mean the same. For 2026 the date is 14.22.2026, and the year reduces to 2 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 10. That gives: A 14 (Temperance), B 22 (The Fool), C 10 (Wheel of Fortune), D 10 (Wheel of Fortune), centre 11 (Strength), inspiration 9 (The Hermit), trigger 5 (The Hierophant), C + D 20 (Judgement), D + A 6 (The Lovers). Adding all nine energies gives 107, which reduces to 8 (Justice): an extra hint for the year that is not written into the chart.

Strength in the centre sets the background of the year: plenty of work and projects, organising and leading, competitions, contests and exams, recovery; in its minus the same energy points to overwork and burnout, conflict and rivalry. The Fool in point B promises, in its plus, a new job or studies, new acquaintances, trips, moves and a sense of release. Wheel of Fortune stands in both minus points, C and D, and a repeat makes an energy stronger: keep an eye on debts and loans, situations that keep repeating, acting on emotion and people from the past.

The Hermit in the inspiration point shows what to lean on: time for yourself, self-knowledge, personal boundaries, focusing on one thing. The Hierophant in the trigger point marks the weak spots: a false path, trouble with documents and state bodies, the end of a working partnership, deceit. Judgement and The Lovers in the last two points speak of what the year is good for and what to beware of: quick changes, results of past actions and partnerships, but also quarrels with relatives, court cases and emotional ups and downs. The general forecast describes the background for everyone; a personal one, with your own date of birth, is more precise.

Month and day forecasts

A month is calculated the same way, only the date changes. The year stays the year, the month is written as usual, and the day is the digit sum of the year plus the number of the month. For June 2023: 2 + 0 + 2 + 3 = 7, 7 + 6 = 13, so the date is 13.06.2023. For someone born on 30.06.1998 it is added to the date of birth: 13 + 30 = 43, which gives 7; 6 + 6 = 12; 1998 + 2023 = 4021, which gives 7. The other points follow the usual pattern: 7, 12, 7, 8, centre 7, inspiration 19, trigger 19, C + D 15, D + A 15. The repeats, 7, 19 and 15, stand out at once; you can add them for extra energies, but what matters most is which points they stand in.

A general month forecast uses the same date without a date of birth. For August 2023 it is 15.08.2023, and the chart comes out as 15, 8, 7, 3, centre 6, inspiration 5, trigger 15, C + D 10, D + A 18. For October 2026: 20.10.2026, with points 20, 10, 10, 4, centre 8, inspiration 3, trigger 20, C + D 14, D + A 6.

A day needs no extra steps: its day, month and year are already known. A personal day forecast adds that date to the date of birth; a general one uses the date itself, so 07.10.2026 gives 7, 10, 10, 9 and centre 9. Months and days have no periods, and the rule of 12 months does not apply either. The meaning of the points stays the same.

How to read a forecast so that it helps

Start with your question: what do you want to understand about the year – work, money, relationships, a move or the general background? The question decides which of an energy's meanings to choose. Many meanings are broad: "expansion" can be about a business, influence, personal boundaries, views or a circle of friends, and "loss" can mean a person close to you, a needed thing, documents or opportunities. The lists of meanings are a base for your first readings, not a complete list, and in real life a plus can sometimes turn into a minus and a minus into a plus.

Then look for repeats: an energy that stands in several points is louder in the year, and what it means depends on where it stands. Read the centre and the trigger point together with the rest, as they colour the whole chart. Trust your intuition too. And remember the main thing: a forecast shows chances and risks, but events come from what you do. So act.

  • Start with the centre: it is the main background and the main events of the year.
  • Look at B and the inspiration point to see what to lean on, and at C and D to see the tasks and money risks.
  • Note the energies that repeat and the points they stand in.
  • Read the trigger point as what to put off and as your weak spot in front of others.
  • Lay the year out across the three periods and plan what to start in spring so that you see the results in autumn.

Questions people ask

How do I calculate a Destiny Matrix year forecast?

Build the year's date: day = days in the year reduced (14, or 15 in a leap year), month = digit sum of the year plus 12, year as it is; for 2026 that is 14.22.2026. Add it to your date of birth day to day, month to month, year to year, reducing numbers above 22. That gives A, B and C; then D = A + B + C, the centre = A + B + C + D, and the four side points.

What is the arcana of 2026?

In the general forecast for 2026 the centre holds arcana 11, Strength. It describes the main background of the year: a lot of work and projects, leadership, competition and recovery, and in its minus burnout and conflict. The year's date is 14.22.2026, the year point is 10 (Wheel of Fortune), and the sum of all nine energies gives 8 (Justice). For a personal forecast this date is added to your date of birth, so everyone's centre is different.

What does the centre mean in a year forecast?

The centre is the sum of points A, B, C and D. It stands for the main events and the overall background of the year: what to expect in the plus and in the minus, and what to look at first. The centre affects the whole chart, so it is read together with the other points, especially the trigger point. If the centre's energy repeats in other points, its theme is even stronger that year.

How do I calculate a month forecast?

Keep the year as it is, write the month as its usual number, and get the day by adding the digit sum of the year to the number of the month. June 2023 gives 13.06.2023, October 2026 gives 20.10.2026. For a personal forecast add this date to your date of birth part by part; for a general one build the chart from the date itself. The other points are found as in the year forecast, only without periods.

Why can the month point hold a number above 12 in a forecast?

In the base chart point B is the month of birth, so it never holds a number above 12; this is the rule of 12 months. In a forecast matrix the year's month is found differently, from the digit sum of the year plus 12, and adding it to a date of birth gives numbers up to 22. So the rule does not apply, and point B can hold any of the 22 arcana.

Can the Destiny Matrix predict the future?

A Destiny Matrix forecast is not fortune-telling and does not name events that are bound to happen. It helps you see which areas need attention, what is worth doing in the period, which tasks lie ahead and what is better put off. A forecast does not lift responsibility: events come from actions, and without action nothing will happen.

How do I account for a leap year?

The day of the year is the number of all days in its twelve months. An ordinary year has 365, and the digits add up to 14. A leap year has a 29 February, 366 days in all, and the day of the year is 15. Leap years come every four years: 2024, 2028, 2032 and on. That is why 2024 has the date 15.20.2024 and 2028 has 15.06.2028.

What do the three periods of the year show?

A personal year splits into January–April, May–August and September–December, each with its own energy. The first two describe events you will need to bring about and tasks you will have to solve. Together they set the outcome of the third period: in autumn you see the results of what was done earlier in the year, along with new events and tasks. The first period is (B + D) + (A + C), the second (inspiration + C + D) + (trigger + D + A), the third the sum of the first two.
