What happened in a past life
In a past life you were oppressed and humiliated, felt worse than others, as if in prison. Another book says you gave up your freedom voluntarily: you were afraid to leave your parents' care and take responsibility for your own life, so you stayed in service even when you were offered freedom.
A third book links this tail to the energy of the 10th arcana and to a karmic debt of power and influence. You may have been a military leader, a healer, a teacher, a priest or a magician, shaping people's destinies for good and for ill. You may have turned away from material wealth for the sake of a spiritual path, and your trust in the Higher Powers brought you success.
Negative karma could mean leaving your talents undeveloped, materialism and a drive to outdo others, which smothered your power to transform people's lives.
The arcana of the 21-4-10 tail
The tail is read from the centre of the chart to its edge. Each of the three numbers is an arcana with its own meaning.
Arcana 21 in the Destiny Matrix: The World
Closest to the centre: how the lesson shows in character
Arcana 21 in the Destiny Matrix, The World: peacemaking, global thinking, going beyond limits, foreign countries, languages and travel.
Arcana 4 in the Destiny Matrix: The Emperor
In the middle: how the lesson shows in events
Arcana 4 in the Destiny Matrix, The Emperor: masculine strength, power, responsibility, order and an innate talent for leading people and managing money.
Arcana 10 in the Destiny Matrix: Wheel of Fortune
Point D: the karmic task itself
Arcana 10 in the Destiny Matrix, the Wheel of Fortune: inborn luck, life in the flow, a guardian angel's help and cycles of ups and downs.
Where to start
- Your main task is to believe in yourself and your strength, listen to your soul, not be afraid to think big and unlock your hidden potential.
How this tail shows in your own chart
The full reading reads the tail with your whole chart: how it shows in money and relationships, its minus, all the advice for working through it and the family programs next to it.
How this code comes about
The third number is point D (the sum of the day, month and year of birth), here 10. The first number is D + the centre of the chart, here 21; the second is D + the first number, here 4. That gives the code 21-4-10.

Questions people ask
What does the 21-4-10 karmic tail mean?
The 21-4-10 tail is called "The Oppressed Soul". It describes a lesson the soul brought from past experience that keeps repeating until it is learned. The meaning of its three arcana and the first steps are on this page.
How do I know if I have the 21-4-10 karmic tail?
Calculate your Destiny Matrix chart from your date of birth. If the line from the centre to point D holds 21, 4, 10, this is your tail.
Can the 21-4-10 karmic tail be worked through?
Yes: the tail shows a repeating scenario, not a sentence. Once a person sees it and lives the tail's energies in their plus, the lesson closes. The full plan, read with the whole chart, is in the full reading.
